    Fasting Primer - An Introduction to Fasting for Weight Loss & Health

    If you are interested in utilizing fasting to either lose weight or improve your health, then it is important for you to know what to expect and watch out for.That's what this article is all about.     For centuries, fasting has been used to heal and balance the body and promote spiritual awareness.

    What is fasting, exactly? The definition of fasting is to abstain from eating food – or sometimes just certain foods. To use fasting for weight loss and wellness, you need to first consider what your goals are. Do you just want to lose weight, or do you also want to balance your body and become healthier and stronger?

    If you simply want to lose weight and return to unhealthy eating habits afterward, fasting is probably not the right path for you. The real purpose of fasting for weight loss is to cleanse and detoxify the body so you can then embark upon a healthier lifestyle and keep the weight off permanently.

    Fasting can help you to:

    • Release toxins
    • Clear addictions
    • Heal ailments
    • Hydrate your body
    • Increase energy
    • Improve mental clarity
    • Strengthen your spiritual connection

    Before we continue exploring the many ways to do this, it’s important to note that:
    Fasting puts the body (at least initially) under notable stress. If you have an illness that you are being treated for; if you take medication; or if you have a heart condition or any other serious condition that fasting has to be done with extreme caution and with the direct supervision of a qualified health professional..

    Today is day 39 for me. Couldn't believe that I've been on this for this far...Just felt a bit uncomfortable today as feeling of vomiting and of course a very strong craving/hunger pain...I also feel that I need to be slow down while getting up or sitting down. It could be because lack of brain energy for signal, I guess. Tomorrow would be my day 40. I think I could easily be able to do for 60 or more days. And though I have not weighed myself but I could feel so light and clothes don't fit me anymore as they...
