New to Fasting

New to Fasting

Ok... I just decided to do a 30 day fast. This is not completely for weight loss. It is mostly spiritual however I do have some pounds to shed. I am at 5'3' 188 pounds (I need to drop about 50!).

So I am curious how to fast and not pick the weight back up afterward and is juicing OK during the fast. I work with children, I am a preschool teacher. I am praying and drinking plenty, I have a broth that I drink.

Any advice would be great. I am on day 3 and needed some support and some place to ask questions or search questions...

Hey Kassyd---doing a juice fast is a great way to fast if you need to keep working and still have the energy. I do a lot of juice fasts and am able to get everthing done, with lots of energy. I also add the vegetable broth at the end of everyday as kind of a reward. If you are juicing it would be ok to add some powdered barley grass or wheat grass to your juice, this will help with detox and give you even more energy.
